The portions are great + the quality is decent, but the prices are v punchy for a pub which is essentially on a dual carriageway! £16.50 for the ‘ultimate burger’ - this is more than London prices!!

Great food, great service, good price, decent beer (they have 4 hand pumps but rarely something particularly outstanding). For me, definitely one of the best gastropubs in the Reading area
