Beware of flight delay. It's a tradition out here. 97% of tike I am here, I have encountered flight delayed.

To transfer from the domestic to the international terminal you either have to walk 5-10 min along the road or use a taxi. There's no indoor path or tram connection.

Tinier than the international airport and quite retro. Report an hour before at checkin for flights - don't worry too much about security checks as they don't ask you to take out laptops, liquids, etc

Bring your own snacks for potential (likely) delays - snacks at confectionary shop is very expensive

Avoid the toilets at all costs. I have travelled to every continent and many developing countries, and I have never came across such filthy and unhygienic facilities at any other airport.

Second day spent at the airport waiting for acflight to Lukla. If you don't ask you won't have any idea what's going on. Bring a book, there's nothing to do here.
