My best memory is of preparing a group of kids for an expedition along the canal to Gas Street Basin and back. The Reser was ideal for safe canoe training; also for testing a new waterproof watch!

Good for runners - one lap is approx 2.50km so you can easily check your performance. Surface is Tarmac but can be slippery on wet/muddy days.

The path around the reservoir is mostly dirt so it's indeed great for running or cycling but not so much after rainy days.
