Covered access to Bencoleen MRT. U can walk there using the SMU underground labyrinth & following directions to Bras Basah Rd

That glass roof sure is pretty when it rains and you're looking up at it. Useful too, as I changed my mind and decided to head for another station with more shelter.

Name is misspelling of Malay word "beras basah" (wet rice). There was a river here (Stamford Canal). Cargo-loads of rice were dried along banks but regularly got wet by rising tide. Source: Infopedia

It's a long way down to the train platform. So if you see that your train is coming in 2 mins, you better make your way down fast!
