Sidney – die Stadt in der Nähe der Bucht
Die älteste Stadt Australiens – Sidney, befindet sich an der südöstlichen Küste des Kontinents und befand sich ursprünglich um die bequeme Bucht Sidney-Harbor herum.
An unseren Tagen ist Sidney die größte Metropole Australiens, der Raum von der sich auf drei sich in der Nähe befindende Buchten erstreckt hat und bis zur Botany Bucht erstreckt. Die Karte der Küstenlinie ist stark eingeschnitten, und die küstennahe Zone ist voll mit Inseln.Von Emigranten gebaute Stadt Sidney ist heute eine der am stärksten multinationalen Städte der Welt. Der Architekturstil der Stadt vereinigt Hochhäuser im Stadtzentrum und einen umfangreichen Privatsektor, der in einem kolonialen Stil gebaut wurde. Von allen Seiten werden die Wohnungen von Nationalparks umgeben. Sidney ist für seine Sehenswürdigkeiten weltweit bekannt: Operntheater und die Brücke Harbor-Bridge, sie sind in jedem Stadtführer angegeben. Zu den bei Städtern und Ortsfremden favorisierten und beliebten Orten wurden die Strände Sidneys.Die größte Stadt Australiens ist gefragt als ein Durchführungsort von verschiedenen kulturellen, sportlichen und politischen Events. In ihr fanden die olympischen Spiele 2000, das Rugby World Cup 2003, das Treffen der APEC-Länder, der internationale Tag der Heranwachsenden und viele andere Events.Der öffentliche Personennahverkehr der Stadt ist durch ein weitgehend entwickeltes Netz der Buslinien und Zugstrecken vertreten. Am Fluss Parmata und in der Bucht kursieren vielzählige Fähren. Man kann auf die Dienstleistungen eines Taxis zurückgreifen oder ein Auto mieten.
