Singapur – das asiatische Wunder
Singapur ist ein Stadtstaat, der in nur 50 Jahren einen Weg von Fischersiedlungen zum modernen finanziellen Zentrum durchlaufen hat.
Die Karte der Republik Singapur umfasst 63 große und kleine Inseln mit einer Gesamtfläche von 719,9 km². Bemerkenswert, dass diese Zahl von Jahr zu Jahr steigt – dank dem Programm der künstlichen Erweiterung der Fläche und der Aufschwemmung der Ufern.Die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten von Singapur sind Naturparks und Reservate. Als solche kann man das Reservat «Bukit Timah», Vogelpark «Jurong», Touristeninstel Sentosa nennen. Selbst in dem städtischen Zoo werden die Tiere unter Bedingungen gehalten, die an die natürlichen angenähert sind. Beliebte Orte für Touristen sind die Strandpromenade Klar-Ki und der Kai, entlang von dem sich eine Reihe von Geschäften, Pubs, schwimmenden Restaurants, Kaufhäusern und Sektionen erstreckt, wo Erzeugnisse der Volksgewerbe hergestellt und verkauft werden.In Singapur ist ein Taxidienst als eines der grundlegenden Arten des Öffentlichen Personennahverkehrs entwickelt. Bemerkenswert ist, dass die Taxis regelmäßig nicht nur von Touristen, sondern auch von den Stadtbewohnern gerufen werden. Der Grund dafür ist die Politik, die diese Gemeindeverwaltung durchführt: der Kauf eines eigenen Autos erweist sich auf den Inseln als teuer, und die Fahrtkosten für ein Taxi sind im Verhältnis zum durchschnittlichen Gehalt gering. So hat die Verwaltung rechtzeitig der Entstehung der Staus auf den Straßen in der dicht bebauten Stadt verhindert, und mit einem Einwohner als Fahrer wird der Tourist keinen Stadtführer benötigen.
